Reusing Wastewater by MBR

Reusing Wastewater by MBR

Water is a scarce resource and an essential element of all forms of life. Water resources, mainly groundwater is being contaminated due to the use of various chemicals and fertilizers in agricultural fields,

The indiscriminate disposal of effluents from industries has also contributed to water pollution. Inadequate treatment of wastewater from cities and towns and the unplanned urbanization have affected water quality a lot.

Pollution of water resources is caused by the discharge of untreated or partially treated sewage and industrial effluents, Seepage from landfills, and the percolating leachate and agrochemicals in the earth are also responsible for this majorly.

There is an urgent need to

  • improve the quality of potable water
  • Proper treatment of the waste water generated by civil and industrial areas.
  • Recycling and reusing of waste water for industrial use and also for agriculture.
  • Prevention of untreated water going to the water bodies and rivers.

In this regard, the best technology in the present time to treat the wastewater is Imemflo-Membrane Bio-Reactor commonly knowns as MBR.

The Membrane Bioreactor, also known as the MBR process, is used mainly for wastewater treatment.

Membrane bioreactor [MBR] is the combination of a membrane process like microfiltration & ultrafiltration with the biological wastewater treatment process and activated sludge process. It is now widely used for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. This bioreactor possesses the advantages of membrane filtration and biological treatment technology. Membrane modules, which can replace the secondary sedimentation tank, are used to separate bio-mass and water.

The MBR process has remarkable advantages compared to the traditional wastewater treatment technology.

Let’s reuse treated wastewater by using imemflo MBRs.
