About Client:

A Case Study of a renowned hospital based at Ahmedabad.  It is a healthcare group playing a key player role  keeping its name ahead in Medical services in Western India.

Hospital has a mission to extend World Class healthcare solutions to the community through advances in medical technology & research.

Overview

Hospital wastewater containing infectious, pathogens, toxic, biodegradable and radioactive contaminants that can cause pollution and health problems and hence its treatment should be done in efficacious way.

Hospital wastewater is mainly generated from all activities of the hospital such as medical and non-medical activities ranging from the operating, emergency & first aid, laboratory, diagnosis, radiology to kitchen and laundry activities.  All such medical utility wastewater has increased parameters for  its contents like BOD ,COD, TSS and bears all other degradable & non degradable materials.

The proposed solution/process is very simple, effective  & compact as it requires very less space to install and works efficiently to bring the desired parameters with low dependency on human factor and high degree automation.

Challenges faced:

  1. Very Less space to install
  2. Varying flow of Sewage
Membrane for Hospitals

Imemflo Solution:

We would like to mention hospital health care as a case here. Hospital utility always demands best water quality form sewage treatment plant to reuse in floor washing ,gardening or toilet flushing.

We discussed and proposed them to go with our special membranes which are specially developed for such an application. Imemflo Hollow Fiber membrane is made of PVDF, which has a better chemical stability, fouling resistance and high mechanical strength to withstand the permeate suction force . With advanced membrane fabrication technology, the pore size of imemflo membrane is around 0.25 μ to get a higher  flux and better water quality.

Conclusion:

Using our knowledge and experience, we assisted the unit  with developing cost-effective ways to manage and treat wastewater. This helped them to have consistently high permeate quality, reused in gardening, flushing, floor washing and HVAC. This also aided them in protecting the surrounding environment.

Today, after successful completion of seven years of installation  we feel proud as our plant till date running  efficiently and treating the waste water to our client’s utmost satisfaction.
